About Zack Tabudlo

A Las Piñas Kid Raised on Music

Zack Tabudlo was born on December 6, 2001 in Las Piñas, into a home where music was simply part of the furniture. His father had played in a college band, his mother sang in hotels, and a guitar from mom became the instrument that started everything.

Music showed up early and often. He reached the finals of “Talentadong Pinoy” as a young boy, then auditioned for the very first season of “The Voice Kids” in 2014 at just twelve years old, joining the team of rock icon Bamboo Mañalac.

His run on the show ended in the battle rounds, but the fire did not go out. He kept singing, kept writing, and kept looking for a way back to a stage.

From Ghost Producer to RADAR Breakout

After “The Voice Kids,” Tabudlo bounced through a few musical chapters. He formed a vocal group called Gravity, then a short-lived duo, all while quietly sharpening his craft as a songwriter and producer.

For a couple of years he worked as an anonymous “ghost producer” for foreign artists, even turning down an overseas residency offer. It was his father, who became his manager, who nudged him to stop building songs for other people and start writing his own in Tagalog.

That pivot changed his life. In 2020 he joined Spotify’s RADAR program for rising artists and signed with Island Records Philippines as the label’s very first act. His debut single “Nangangamba” simmered for months before exploding on TikTok, announcing a major new voice in OPM.

“Binibini,” “Pano,” and Record-Breaking Streams

Then came 2021, the year Zack Tabudlo became inescapable. “Binibini” arrived in March and turned into the longest-running number one local track by a RADAR artist on the Spotify Philippines Top 50, charting as far away as Canada, Singapore, and the Middle East.

His debut album “Episode” followed in October, a fourteen-track diary of heartbreak, anxiety, and hope. In December he released “Pano,” which became the longest-running number one OPM song at the time on Spotify Philippines and, when Billboard launched its Philippines chart in early 2022, debuted at number one and stayed there for eleven straight weeks.

The milestones kept stacking up. He was crowned the country’s most-streamed local artist in 2022 and the most-streamed male local artist in 2023, and he became the first Filipino male solo artist to cross one billion Spotify streams.

Collaborations, Coaching, and a Global Chapter

Few OPM artists collaborate as widely as Tabudlo. He has traded verses with Moira Dela Torre on “Iba,” James Reid on “Hatdog,” Indonesia’s Tiara Andini on “By My Side,” rapper Al James on “Gusto,” and South Africa’s Nasty C on the Coke Studio single “Fallin’.” He also brought fellow R&B star Dionela along as a guest on The Morning Tour.

He is just as busy behind the glass. As a producer and writer he has crafted songs for peers, including KAIA‘s “Tanga” and Darren Espanto‘s “Tama Na,” a reminder that his ear is as sharp as his voice.

In February 2025 he signed with the US label Mercury Records and joined 88rising’s “Road to FAM” tour across Asia. That summer he returned to “The Voice Kids” as a coach, eleven years after auditioning as a hopeful contestant, and guided his mentee Sofia Mallares to the season title. In 2026 he was named to Forbes Asia’s “30 Under 30” list, cementing his place among the region’s brightest young talents.
