About G22
The Female Alphas Arrive
G22 came together in early 2022 under Cornerstone Entertainment, the same camp behind fellow P-pop act VXON. From the start the group had a clear identity: sharp, confident, and unapologetically bold, a “girl crush” concept they summed up with the nickname “P-pop’s Female Alphas.”
They made their debut on February 25, 2022 with the single “BANG!”, a hard-hitting introduction that leaned on rap verses and attitude rather than sweetness. The message was obvious — this was a group that wanted to command the room.
That same energy carried into their live arrival. In April 2022 G22 performed at PPOPCON, the landmark gathering of Philippine pop acts held at the Araneta Coliseum, putting the rookies on the same stage as the scene’s biggest names.
Fans took to the concept quickly, adopting the name “Bullets,” a nod to the group’s recurring imagery of aim, impact, and firepower running through titles like “BANG!” and “Boomerang.”
From Quartet to Trio
G22 originally launched as a four-member group. Alongside AJ, Alfea, and Jaz was Bianca, who handled dance and part of the rap line during the group’s first stretch.
In September 2023, Bianca stepped away from G22, citing personal and family reasons. Rather than recruit a replacement, the remaining three regrouped and moved forward as a trio, a lineup change that ended up sharpening their sound and their chemistry.
The three who carry the group today each bring something distinct. AJ, from Parañaque, leads the group and writes much of its rap material. Alfea, from Quezon City, anchors the visuals and the dance, while Jaz, the youngest, born in Sydney and raised in Manila, takes the lead on the group’s biggest vocal moments.
A New Era and a Breakout
The trio era pushed G22 into a more melodic, radio-ready space without losing the edge. The 2024 single “One Sided Love” opened a softer new chapter, but it was “I Hate Boys” that truly caught fire, a fierce, meme-friendly kiss-off that spread well beyond the usual P-pop circles and earned a nod at Brazil’s BreakTudo Awards.
They kept the momentum with “Limitless,” a driving anthem the group performed live with the superstar boy band SB19 at Acer Day 2024, one of several high-profile crossovers that widened their audience.
G22 also carried the flag abroad. In 2024 they appeared on the Chinese reality program “Show It All,” headlined by EXO’s Lay Zhang, sharing an international stage alongside fellow Filipino act BINI and putting P-pop in front of a much larger regional crowd.
Dissecting Eve
By 2025 G22 were writing their own story in every sense. Singles like “Pa-Pa-Pa-Palaban,” a combative, women-empowerment showcase, and the regal “Filipina Queen” leaned hard into the self-empowerment themes that had become the group’s signature.
That November, they released their debut studio album, “The Dissection of Eve,” an eight-track record largely written by the members themselves and dedicated to female strength and self-worth. For a group that started as rookies with something to prove, it was a statement of arrival.
The album set up the group’s biggest milestone yet: “The Eve of an Alpha,” G22’s first-ever solo concert, staged at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City on July 12, 2026. Produced by Cornerstone and directed by John Prats, it marked the moment the “Female Alphas” finally headlined a night of their own.

Perspective
There’s something bracing about a group that opens its career with a song called “BANG!” and never really lowers the volume. G22 make pop for the version of you that’s done apologizing, all swagger, sharp verses, and hooks that dare you to sing along a little louder. Watching three friends turn a lineup change into a sharper, fiercer identity is its own kind of thrill.
